IS&T Annual Picnic.  The picnic was located at Steve Cherep's house again this year. There was a wonderful turnout and fun everywhere.  You can click here to see some pictures.

News - 6/24/01
LOL Puts on Play and new employees head up this month's news.  LOL put on a wonderfull play durning the Customer Service Meeting held on May 22nd of this year. You can see photos in the Gallery by clicking here Also, HHSS-IST has lost more of its family. John Crha has left the L1 help desk, only to move into our Hardware Dept. This is a welcome addition to Hardware. Mark Seely has moved out of state to persue other ventures. Mark worked in our Configuration Dept., moving there from Hardware. He will be missed. Good luck Mark!! Two new employees to note are Gary Chalupa in our Server Ops area, and John Rockenbach in the L2 help desk area. We welcome them both!!

News - 3/31/01
IS&T has just started what is hoped to be a real morale booster for it's employees.  The LOL Club has been formed, and is off to a good start.  Feb. 20th was the official kick off. Members were encourged to wear Hawiian shirts. It was a lot of fun. The web site is under construction, and should be up soon.

News - 1/13/2001
Things will be a little slow in Omaha for awhile....Dale Hauptmeier is down to one good foot.  On Wed. Jan 3rd, Dale broke his ankle around 7 pm at his house.  By 7 am the next morning, he was in surgery getting his ankle "screwed" back together. He broke his ankle/leg in three seperate places. Dale will be on crutches for 10 weeks or so reports his doctor.  In the meantime, Steve Daly is helping Dale get around some.  Thanks Steve. Get well soon Dale. Looks like IS&T has lost another. Harvey Swanson has accepted a possition with none other than Microsoft (C).  Harvey has worked with IS&T for 5 or so years, where he became one of our top Lan Admins.  He will be missed.
 Harvey, can I NOW have the  MMC?? (private joke)

Jeremy Faircloth has decided to take a position in the private sector. Jeremy has worked for HHSS-IS&T for a number of years. He started as a temporary, and moved into a full time position as a hardware tech. He later took a position in Lan Administration where his talents seemed to shine. Jeremy and his family will be moving out of state for his new job.  He will be missed.

There have been some changes in the HHSS-IS&T work place.
First, lets talk about employees:
Chris Reeves has decided to take a position in the private sector.
Eric Whiteman has also taken a position in the private sector. You can see some pics of his last day in the Picture Gallery.
We would like to say that we've all had a great time working with you both, and we wish you good luck in all you do. You'll be missed.
Angel Othling has moved into Project Management, out of Platform Management.
Next, there have been some management changes.
Platform Management is no longer under Technical Services. They now fall under Help Desk / Customer Support.
Platform Management has also hired a supervisor. Congratulations to the new supervisor.
Also, all of IS&T now falls under the management of IMS.
This desision was made June 6th, 2000 by the Policy Cabinet.
